A Preliminary Study on the Function of Ethylene Induced 60 kD Protein in Carnation Petal

JIANG Wei-Bo, Shimon MAYAK, Abraham H. HALEVY

Abstract: Antibody against the ethylene induced 60 kD protein (E60) in camation( Dianthus caryophyllus L. ) petal was obtained from immunized rabbit serum. The E60 was purified with gel filtration, DEAE- Sephadex and Hydroxylapatite column. By combining IEF, SDS-PAGE and immune-blot analysis, the ethylene induced 60 kD protein was found to be an pi 6.3 peroxidase.
