Abstract: Five angiospermous fossil woods of Late Tertiary have been excavated from Xinzhow County, Hubei Province. From the observation of the wood anatomical features they are pre- liminarily identified as Bischofia javanica B1., a species of Leguminosae, and two species of Lauraceae.
