Recruitment: Part- or full-time Science Editor of JIPB

Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB; www.jipb.net) is a monthly plant biology journal that reports novel scientific discoveries using integrative genetic, chemical, cell and molecular biological approaches. As one of the leading Wiley journals, JIPB is subscribed by 15,200 libraries worldwide and is indexed by 85 databases such as SCI, PubMed, Google Scholar, CA, BA and BIOSIS. We are currently looking for a part- or full-time Science Editor to work under the supervision of the Chief Editor and board members for the coming three years. The ideal candidate should be a native English-speaking person with solid training in plant biology, good publication record, and able to work creatively to increase the journal's quality and visibility. The annual salary will be 200K (part-time) to 300K CNY (full-time), depending on qualifications. The position is open immediately, until filled.

 

Main Responsibilities:

l  Assisting the Chief Editor in promoting the development of JIPB;

l  Writing assays, academic news or commentary articles in a rapid manner;

l  Polishing accepted articles with critical comments;

l  Facilitating communication with researchers and promoting JIPB.

 

Qualifications:

l  Native English-speaking person and Ph.D. degree in plant science, biochemistry, genetics and related areas;

l  As the first or corresponding author, published several articles in high-profile journals such as Cell, The Plant Cell and Nature Genetics;

l  Innovative and has good coordination and communication skills.
