摘要: Biological circadian clocks were not engineered but evolved through the process of evolutionary tinkering by natural selection. By measuring photosynthetic rates under field and laboratory conditions, we conclude that the plant circadian clock allows plants to selectively pay attention to light signals rather than “when to wake up” in anticipation of the rising sun.
