摘要: Living things have internal circadian clocks to coordinate with external diurnal cycles. Circadian fluctuations in plant defense can provide resistance to herbivory when plants and herbivores share a diurnal cycle. However for a plant which responds strongly and specifically to a co-evolved herbivore, plant resistance was independent of diurnal cycle.
