Plant science research in China has grown by leaps and bounds in the past two decades and early career researchers (ECRs) are key drivers behind this growth. In this context, we are delighted to announce a special collection dedicated to supporting and highlighting innovative research by young Chinese scholars and their role in shaping the future of this field.
This special collection aims to provide a platform to showcase pioneering research by young researchers from both academic and industrial backgrounds. By highlighting their work, we aim to strengthen connections within the community, drive research in the frontier areas of plant science, contribute to overall scientific development in China, and address global challenges related to vegetation, agriculture, the environment, and sustainability. The participating journals for this special issue include:
This collection is open to young Chinese plant science scholars from institutions around the world. Specific eligibility criteria (only one of the corresponding or first authors needs to meet one of the following conditions) are as follows:
- Age ≤ 40 years (born after 1983)
- ≤ 5 years since first corresponding author publication
- ≤ 7 years since PhD graduation
- ≤ 3 years since last postdoctoral position
We welcome submissions within the scope of and all article types accepted by the participating journals, with a preference for original research.
All accepted articles will be published in regular issues of the participating journals and collected under a dedicated section on each journal's homepage for easy access.
Promotion and Contest
To demonstrate our support for outstanding young researchers, all accepted articles through this special collection will have the option to receive exclusive promotion on Wiley's official social media platforms. Additionally, three months after the end of the call for papers, Wiley will conduct a vote on social media platform to determine the top three most popular articles. The winning authors will receive customized certificates from the respective journals, respectively, and will be invited to participate in a global webinar organized by Wiley in collaboration with the participating journals.
