Dr. Wei-Hua Wu is a professor of the College of Biological Sciences at China Agricultural University. He received his PhD from Rutgers University, USA, in 1991. Professor Wu obtained NSFC funding as a distinguished young scholar in 1995, and was appointed Cheung Kong Scholar by the Ministry of Education in 1999. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007.
The Wu lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of plant responses to nutrient deficiency (low potassium / phosphorus) and abiotic stresses (salt / drought). Prof. Wu has published more than 50 papers on scientific journals, such as Cell, Annu Rev Plant Biol, PNAS, and Plant Cell. He is also chief editor of Journal of Agricultural Biotechnology and editorial board member of BMC Plant Biology.
