Abstract: Plant structural and reproductive biology is a principal division of plant science, about which several papers have been published dealing with its research history and development in China. This paper presents a survey of progress made by Chinese researchers in the past 10 years, focusing on main achievements in this field contributed by 26 laboratories of 11 universities and four institutes of The Chinese Academy of Sciences. Moreover, the problems of resisting this discipline from fast development have also been analyzed.
