Abstract: Five phenanthrene-l-carboxylic acid lactams: uvarilactam (1), aristololactam A Ⅱ (2), aristololactam B Ⅰ(3), aristololactam B Ⅱ (4), aristololactam A Ⅰ a (5), and two aporphine alkaloids, 4,5 dioxodehydroasimilobine (6) and oxoanolobin (7) have been isolated from the stems of Uvaria microcarpa Champ. ex Benth. Among them, 1 is a new compound and the others are isolated from this genus for the first time. Compound 3 and 4 are isolated as a mixture. Their structures were identified from interpretation of the 1H-NMR and NOESY spectral data.
Key words: Uvaria microcarpa, Annonaceae, uvarilactam, aistololactams, aporphine alkaloids
