Abstract: Previously, we obtained five xanthoncs from Halenia elliptica D. Don. Recently, other five xanthones have been obtained from the same plants. Among them three are new natural products and their structures are identified as 1, 7-dihydroxy-2, 3, 4, 5-tetramethoxyxanthone (Ⅵ), 1, 5-dihydroxy-2, 3, 7-trimethoxyxanthonc (Ⅶ) and 1, 2-dihydroxy-3, 4, 5-trimethoxyxanthone (Ⅹ). Other two have been known as 1, 5-dihydroxy-2, 3-dimethoxy-xanthone (Ⅷ) and 1, 7-dihydroxy-2, 3-dimethoxyxanthone (Ⅸ).
