Chief Editor Prof. Chun-Ming Liu introduced the speaker of the day, Prof. Bill Lucas, to chair the workshop on how to create and run a successful scientific journal and how to write good scientific papers. Bill Lucas currently holds editorial board positions both for JIPB and Plant Cell, and is an active researcher at University of California , Davis .
