We are delighted to announce that JIPB’s 5-year SCI impact factor (IF) has reached 3.993 (19% increase as compared to last year, Fig. 1), and 2-year IF is 3.67, according to Thomson Reuters. Among 209 SCI-indexed Plant Science journals in the world, JIPB ranks 24
th (Q1 category). The total citations of JIPB in 2015 are 3,374 (16% increase as compared to 2014, Fig. 2). Over the last 8 years, the JIPB impact factor has increased 4.5 times (see Fig. 1). At the mean time Plant Cell has increased -5% and Plant Physiology has increased 11%.
In addition, among 185 SCI-indexed journals published in China in all categories, JIPB is now ranked 11
th .JIPB plays active roles in the plant science community. In 2016, we sponsored the International Plant & Animal Genome XXIV 2016 Conference in San Diego, USA (January 9 to13, 2016), the International Conference on Arabidopsis Research in Gyeongju, South Korea (June 28 to July 3, 2016), the Fourth International Conference on Plant Vascular Biology (PVB2016) in Shenzhen, China (July 19 to 23, 2016), the 7
th International Crop Science Congress in Beijing, China (August 14 to 19, 2016), the Chinese National Congress of Plant Biology in Wuhan, China (October 9–12, 2016), the Auxin2016 Conference in Sanya, China (October 20 to 25, 2016).We appreciate the supports from our board members, authors, readers and reviewers.
