We are very pleased to announce that JIPB has recently been awarded by the Science Publication Fund, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), for being top of its class as a Chinese scientific journal. A total of 178 Science & Technology periodicals that met the award criteria were evaluated using bibliometrics. In total, ten journals were selected to receive the top class award, and JIPB ranked 5^th among them.
