Handover Ceremony of Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB) Editor-in-Chief Was Held

On December 6, handover ceremony of JIPB Editor-in-Chief was officially held at Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBCAS). Professor Kang Chong (Current President of Botanical Society of China (BSC), Academician of CAS), Professor Xiaoquan Wang (Director-General of Institute of Botany, Vice President and Secretary-General of BSC), Professor Zhizhong Gong (Vice President of BSC), Professor Shuhua Yang (Vice Secretary-General of BSC) and Professor Chun-Ming Liu (JIPB Editor-in-Chief), and Director of Centre for Documentation and Information of IBCAS and person in charge of BSC office attended this ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Kang Chong.
Kang Chong fully affirmed the essential achievements gained by JIPB editorial team during the past ten years, and expressed his sincere thanks to Chun-Ming Liu for his dedication to the leap-forward development of JIPB. Xiaoquan Wang also addressed his gratitude to Chun-Ming Liu for his endeavor to lead JIPB to create such an excellent academic journal for Chinese plant community. He then announced that the new Editor-in-Chiefs of JIPB will be Profs. Kang Chong and Zhizhong Gong, and stated that IBCAS will provide continuous support to JIPB.
Chun-Ming Liu delivered a report to address the recent developments and raise the upcoming challenges faced by JIPB. The attendees fully discussed the potential works for JIPB in the near future. Zhizhong Gong pointed out that Chinese academic journals have been ushered into a golden era of development, and Chinese government pay high attention to the development of scientific and technological journals. We should seize the valuable opportunity to promote the rapid development of JIPB, and provide a better academic exchanging platform for both national and international plant scientists.
The Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Botanical Society of China finally signed a tripartite agreement with the new Editor-in-Chiefs.
