Given the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19 in these days, this has resulted in a lot of significant impact on our work and lives. We, the Co-Editors-in-Chief and publisher of JIPB, have received many questions from members of our plant community about the flexibility for resubmitting and reviewing manuscripts in these troubled times.

Surely, we can provide the flexible deadlines for manuscript-related task.    

For the revisions of manuscripts that already have been reviewed, we can wait you to revise the manuscript until your lab is capable of working again. We will try our best to handle your resubmission as quickly as possible.

In addition, we totally understand that some of reviewers may need extra time to complete their assessments of manuscripts. We can extend your reviewing time flexibly. Please keep in communication with us (jipb@ibcas.ac.cn) no matter whether you can or cannot accomplish in a given timeline, so that we could inform the authors to be patient to wait for return decisions and reviews.
