Breakthrough——JIPB's 2019 Impact Factor: 4.885

We are delighted to announce that JIPB’s 2-year SCI impact factor (IF) is 4.885 (Fig. 1), and 5-year IF is 4.586, according to 2019 Journal Citation Report (JCR). Among 234 SCI-indexed Plant Science journals in the world, JIPB ranks 17th (top 7.3%, Q1 category). The total citations of JIPB in 2019 are 5,005 (Fig. 2). JIPB has remained in Q1 of Plant Science category for eight consecutive years by JCR, and also in 1st Tier by Chinese Academy of Sciences.
JIPB has proudly served the worldwide plant community almost seventy years since 1952. Our editorial board is composed of well-known experts in a range of plant scientists from molecular biologists to ecologists, which ensures to strengthen the communication and discussion in different fields of plant science. JIPB is currently accessible in 21,432 institutions worldwide and indexed by 85 global databases, including PubMed, SCI, CAB and Google Scholar. The yearly full-text downloads have been increasing from 30,000 in 2007 to 347,410 in 2019.
