JIPB's 2022 Impact Factor Reaches 11.4 with astonishing speed

The JIPB editorial office is very pleased to announce that the JIPB impact factor for 2022 is 11.4, compared to 9.106 in 2021 and 7.061 in 2019, based on the latest statistics released by the Journal Citation Reports from Clarivate. This represents an increase of 25.2% over 2021. In the Plant Science category, JIPB is in the top 2.9% (7 out of 238) based on its impact factor over the past two years. This huge achievement marks JIPB’s longstanding commitment to serving the plant science community and publishing world-class science.
The total citations of JIPB articles in 2022 were 10,416. JIPB has remained in Q1 of the Plant Science category for eleven consecutive years, based on JCR rankings. The 2022 CiteScore for JIPB was 14.1, compared to 11.8 in 2021, represents an increase of 19.5% over 2021. In 2022, JIPB ranked 12th among 487 journals in Plant Science, placing it in the top 2.5%. JIPB is currently accessible in 22,200 institutions worldwide and indexed by 85 global databases, including PubMed, SCI, CAB, and Google Scholar. The yearly full-text downloads of JIPB articles exceeded 780,000 in 2022.
