Antimicrobial Isoflavans from Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bunge

Abstract: Two new antimicrobial isoflavans, (3R)-8,2'-dihydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyisoflavan and (3R)-7,2', 3'-trihydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavan were isolated from root of Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bnnge. Their structures were elucidated by means of chemical conversions and spectral analysis.
