We are delighted to announce that JIPB’s 5-year SCI impact factor (IF) is 3.499 (Fig. 1), and 2-year IF is 3.129, according to 2017 Journal Citation Report. Among 222 SCI-indexed Plant Science journals in the world, JIPB ranks 36^th (top 16.2%, Q1 category). The total citations of JIPB in 2017 are 3,660 (Fig. 2).

JIPB plays active roles in the plant science community. In 2018, we sponsored the Fifth International Horticulture Research Conference, Beijing, China (July 20 to 24, 2018), the Chinese National Congress of Plant Biology in Tai’an, China (October 18 to 22, 2018).
